Course Entry Requirements

​

• Learners should be at least 14 years old to undertake this qualification.

• Learners aged 14–16 should not be relied upon by employers as the sole emergency first aider.

• Learners must have sufficient English language skills to understand the course and assessment requirements.

• Learners must be physically capable of carrying out practical first aid procedures, including performing CPR on a casualty on the floor.

• Learners who are unable to complete the practical tasks may be able to undertake an alternative qualification, subject to suitability.

• There are no other prerequisites for this qualification.
